Zero to Sharp · Day 1 of 31 · Free

Your starting SHARP score.

This is the first day of the book, in full and free. Five areas, ten marks each. Score the normal you, not your best wedding photo.

4-minute read · 15-minute task

Why this matters

Most men have a vague feeling that they “could look better”, but never work out what is actually holding them back.

So they buy a random shirt, copy a haircut from Instagram, feel good for a day, and nothing really changes. Today you stop guessing. In 15 minutes you will score yourself on the five things that decide how sharp you look, and pick the two to fix first.

Seedhi baat: this score is not judging your face, your body or your worth. It is a map. It only shows you where to start.

What you need to know

Everything about how you show up fits into five areas. Together they are the SHARP system. Score each one from 1 to 10. Use this scale: 1–3 means no habit at all · 4–6 means on and off · 7–8 means solid most days · 9–10 means fully sorted.

  • S — Skin and self-care. Do you look after your skin regularly — clean, moisturise, sunscreen? This is not about having perfect skin. Pimples and marks are normal. You are scoring the habit.
  • H — Hair and hygiene. A fresh haircut that suits you, plus the small things: beard or shave, nails, teeth, breath, clean basics. You do not need great hair. You need looked-after hair.
  • A — Apparel and fit. Forget costly clothes. Do your clothes actually fit — right at the shoulders, room to move, clean shape, not stretched or faded? Most men score lowest here, and it is the fastest area to improve.
  • R — Refinement. The finishing touches: colours that go together, clean shoes, a matching belt, ironed clothes, pockets not stuffed. This is what makes an outfit look planned instead of random.
  • P — Presence. How you carry it: posture, eye contact, not glued to your phone. Not acting like a boss. Just calm and comfortable.

Now do it. Score all five, add them up out of 50, and write one short reason next to each score. For example: “Apparel 4/10 — shirts fit at the shoulders, but most trousers are too long.” That one line turns a feeling into something you can fix.

Do not panic if your total is low. A low score only means the easy wins are still sitting there. A man starting at 18/50 often changes faster than one at 38. Clean shoes, fresh grooming, the right fit and better posture show up quickly.

Now mark your two lowest areas. Those lead the next 29 days. Do not try to fix all five at once. The plan takes you through each one.

Indian reality

Score the normal you, not your best wedding photo. If you travel to work in Mumbai humidity — sweat, oily skin, creased shirt — score how you look on that ordinary sweaty afternoon. That is the version people actually see.

The upgrades

₹0. Doing this honestly is today’s upgrade. Most men keep buying things without knowing the real problem. You now have a map and two priorities. It costs nothing and saves you money later.

Low-cost. Optional: keep a “SHARP journal” in your phone notes or a ₹50 notebook. Write today’s scores on the first page. On Day 30 you will write them again, right below, and compare.

Common mistakes

  • Scoring high to protect your ego. That only hides the areas that would help you most. Be honest.
  • Scoring low because you feel low. You are measuring habits, not your worth. Stay neutral.
  • Skipping the written reason. A number on its own does not tell you what to fix.

Do this today — 15 minutes

  1. Score yourself 1 to 10 on S, H, A, R and P.
  2. Write one reason next to each.
  3. Add them up out of 50 and mark your two lowest.
  4. Write down one strength you already have.

Your score is not a verdict. It is a starting map.

That was Day 1 of 31

Tomorrow: the 20-minute wardrobe audit.

Day 2 upgrades the clothes you already own without spending a rupee. After that the book works through your two lowest areas in turn — one short lesson and one task under 20 minutes, every day, for 30 days. Written for Indian weather, Indian budgets and Indian tailors.

The whole thing is ₹199, once, with lifetime access and a seven-day refund.

If you want the reasoning before the routine, why you look bad in photos explains which four things the book is actually fixing.
