Privacy Policy

Short version: there is no signup form on this site, so you never hand us your name or address. What the site does use is Google's advertising and analytics cookies, and Amazon affiliate links. The long version — including how to switch personalised ads off — is below.

1. Who we are

Dressing School ("we", "us") is operated by Naresh Basude, an individual based in India. You can reach us at dressingschool@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

There is no signup form, no newsletter and no contact form anywhere on this site, so there is nowhere to hand us your name, address or phone number. What does happen:

  • Basic server logs — IP address, browser type, and the page you requested. These are kept for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention. We do not link them to any identity.
  • Cookies set by Google, for advertising and for measuring page views. That is the significant one, and it gets its own section below.
  • Email you send us — if you write to us, we obviously have your email address. See section 6.
  • Ebook payments — the ebook is sold through Razorpay. Your card, UPI or netbanking details are entered on Razorpay's side and handled by Razorpay under their own privacy policy. We do not receive or store them.

3. Cookies, advertising and analytics

This site carries ads through Google AdSense, and page views are measured with Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-E50KWKHDPB). Both set cookies in your browser. Here is what that means, stated the way Google requires:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • These cookies may be set from doubleclick.net or from a country-specific Google domain such as google.co.in, rather than from dressingschool.com itself.
  • Google Analytics tells us which pages get read and roughly where readers come from. We use it to decide what to write next, not to identify anyone.

How to turn personalised ads off. You have two routes, and both work whether or not you ever visit this site again:

4. The Face Shape Finder tool

The face shape tool at /tools/face-shape-finder/ offers an optional camera/photo scan. When you use it:

  • The image (camera frame or uploaded photo) is processed entirely inside your browser using an on-device machine-learning model. It is never uploaded to our servers or sent to any third party.
  • Only four anonymous measurements (face length, forehead width, cheekbone width, jaw width) are derived from the image — and even those stay in memory, not transmitted.
  • The camera stream stops the moment you finish or leave the page.
  • The tool's code is not all served from this site. The face-detection library and its WebAssembly runtime are downloaded from the jsDelivr CDN, and the model file itself from Google's storage.googleapis.com, the first time you open the tool; your browser then caches them. These are ordinary asset downloads rather than uploads of anything of yours, but like any request to another host they do tell that host your IP address and browser details. Nothing derived from your image is included.

5. Affiliate links

Dressing School is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme. Product links on this site carry our Associates tag fashion0ecf-21, which tells Amazon the visit came from here so we earn a small commission if you buy — at no extra cost to you. Following one of those links takes you to Amazon, where Amazon's own cookies and privacy notice apply, not ours. Commission never changes what we recommend.

6. Contact and partnerships

If you write to us at dressingschool@gmail.com — for a partnership, a question, an ebook order, or any other reason — we use your email only to reply. We don't add you to any list, sell it, or share it.

7. Children

This site is intended for adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new version. Questions about any of it: dressingschool@gmail.com.
