The eight picks.

01
Adidas

Editor's pick · Smart casual

Adidas Stan Smith Recon

₹2,799 · Leather · White sole

The most versatile court silhouette in the line-up. Slightly thicker leather upper than the original Stan Smith, perforations on the toe, and recycled rubber outsole that holds up through monsoon. Pairs with chinos, dark denim and even slim joggers.

  • Premium leather upper, ages well
  • True to size on Indian feet
  • Goes formal-ish if you want it to
  • The white sole shows scuffs faster than gum sole alternatives
02
Nike

Heritage silhouette

Nike Court Vision Low

₹2,995 · Synthetic leather · White sole

Inspired by '80s basketball but cut clean enough to wear with a blazer. Synthetic leather upper means it wipes clean easily, doesn't darken in monsoon, and survives a fast lifestyle. Slightly chunky toe — adds height visually.

  • Wipe-clean upper
  • Adds 1.5cm visual height
  • Strong return policy via Nike India
  • Runs narrow — go half size up
  • Synthetic upper creases visibly after 6 months
03
Puma

Weekend classic

Puma Suede Classic XXI

₹2,599 · Suede · Gum sole

Yes, technically off-white rather than pure white — and that's why it's here. Forgiving for hot weather, easy to brush clean, gum sole grounds the look in a way pure white can't. Best for jeans and chinos, not for formal trousers.

  • Gum sole hides scuffs
  • Suede brush + foam keeps it new
  • Reliably under ₹2,700 on Myntra sales
  • Don't wear in heavy rain
  • Reads casual — not for boardrooms
04
Snitch

Best under ₹2,000

Snitch White Court

₹1,799 · PU leather · White sole

Cleanest under-₹2,000 silhouette on the Indian market right now. No logos, perforated toe-box, slim profile. PU leather instead of real, but at this price you can replace them next year and still come out ahead. Pairs with everything in a capsule wardrobe.

  • Genuinely logo-free look
  • Lightweight on the foot
  • Strong fit for Indian widths
  • PU upper has a 12-18 month life
  • Return policy on Snitch is stricter than Myntra
05
Skechers

Comfort pick

Skechers Topspeed Sport

₹2,899 · Synthetic + mesh · White sole

Not the chunkiest Skechers in their range — these stay closer to a court silhouette while keeping their famous memory-foam insole. Best for the day you're walking 15,000+ steps and still need to look sharp at the end of it.

  • All-day comfort on hard floors
  • Mesh panels keep feet cool in 35°C
  • Machine washable upper
  • Doesn't read formal — keep for casual settings
  • Memory foam compresses after 8 months
06
Campus

Value pick · Under ₹1,500

Campus North Plus

₹1,499 · PU leather · White sole

For the man who wants to test the white-sneaker look without committing ₹3,000. Surprisingly clean shape for the price. Build doesn't survive a year of daily wear, but for a second pair, a college student, or someone who's still figuring out their style — it's the right call.

  • Genuinely affordable
  • Available on Amazon with quick delivery
  • Decent silhouette for the money
  • Insole is thin — pair with separate insoles
  • Lifespan ~9 months at daily wear
07
Bata

Workhorse

Bata North Star Court

₹1,599 · PU leather · White sole

The most India-friendly fit on the list — Bata's lasts are built for Indian feet (slightly wider through the forefoot, normal heel). Boring shape if you're chasing trends; perfect shape if you want something dependable that's never out of stock.

  • Best fit for Indian widths
  • Available in every Bata store nationwide — try before you buy
  • Reliable build at price point
  • Visually generic
  • Logo placement isn't subtle
08
Bewakoof

Trend pick

Bewakoof Court Originals

₹1,199 · Canvas + PU · White sole

The cheapest entry that's still defensible. Canvas + PU mix, slightly chunky midsole that's in fashion this year. Good for someone who wants a second white pair to rotate, knowing they'll cycle out in a year.

  • Lowest entry price worth buying
  • Frequent Bewakoof app discounts
  • Canvas takes paint markers if you want to customise
  • Don't expect more than 8-10 months of regular wear
  • Canvas darkens with sweat in summer

Buying guide

Five things before you click buy.

Sizing for Indian feet

Most international brands run narrow through the forefoot — go half a size up if you're between sizes. Adidas, Skechers and Puma tend to fit closer to UK standard sizing. Indian brands (Bata, Campus, Snitch) usually run true to size or slightly wider. Always check the brand's specific size chart, not "your size."

Leather vs canvas vs PU

Leather lasts longest, looks the most premium, but darkens in monsoon and needs occasional conditioning. Synthetic / PU leather wipes clean and survives rain, but creases visibly after a year. Canvas / suede are summer-only choices in most of India — beautiful when dry, miserable in humidity.

The sole-colour rule

Pure white sole reads cleanest, pairs with formal-leaning outfits, but shows scuffs immediately. Gum sole is more casual but forgiving — pairs with denim and chinos, not with dress trousers. Off-white / cream sole is the middle ground — slightly more forgiving than pure white without going full casual.

Returns by retailer

Myntra — 30-day return, easy pickup. Ajio — 30-day return, slightly slower pickup. Amazon India — 7-10 day return on shoes, automated process. Snitch / Bewakoof — direct brand sites, usually 15-day, sometimes exchange-only. Brand stores (Nike, Adidas, Bata) — return in-store works even on online orders.

Keeping them white

The whole point of white sneakers is they look white. Two-step routine: 1) Brush with a dry toothbrush after every wear — gets dust off before it sets. 2) Spot-clean every 2 weeks with Crep Protect cleaner or just a microfibre cloth dipped in water + a drop of mild detergent. Never put leather sneakers in a washing machine. Air-dry stuffed with newspaper. White rubber soles can be cleaned with a Magic Eraser (Mr. Clean) — works freakishly well.

A pair will last 12-18 months of daily wear with this routine. Two pairs rotated will last three years each.

If we had to pick three.

Different budgets, different priorities. One winner each.
